Spider-Man Musical's Cast Dropping Like Flies

Another injury befalls a cast member of Spider-Human beings: Switch off The Tenebrous, this time in the grade of a concussion sustained during the show's first trailer.

In the approaching Broadway canorous Spider-Humankind: Turn Off The Dark, Natalie Mendoza plays Arachne, the wanderer who bestows Peter Parker with his spidey-senses. She won't be appearing in the role for the incoming few scheduled previews, though: Mendoza is suffering from a concussion received offstage during the first trailer public presentation. She was dead offstage when, as ArtsBeat describes it, "she was struck in the header by a roofy holding a tack of equipment."

Mendoza is unsure whether she was struck by the R-2 itself or the unspecified equipment attached to same rope. She elected to execute in the following eve's preview, going against the advice of her doctor, World Health Organization may have been on guard of a concussed Mendoza performing the upside-devour aery stunts that the role of Arachne requires.

ArtsBeat reports "representatives for the Actors' Equity union and the Empire State Body politic Department of Labor, which monitors safety publically performances, said they were looking into the fortuity," adding "Ms. Mendoza is the tierce actor in "Wanderer-Man" to be ache practical on the production; during rehearsals this fall, one dancer broke his wrists after landing falsely during a flying stunt, while another thespian injured his feet doing the same stunt." The complicated production involves 27 separate flying sequences in all.

Mendoza, her doctor, her understudy United States of America Olivo, and lead producer Micahel Cohl have all declined to comment on the combat injury, and Olivio is temporarily playing Arachne in previews. Wanderer-Man: Turn Off The Dark is scheduled to open on January 11, 2011.
